Support Worker

Department: Residential Care (students 6–25 years)

Location: The Sheiling Ringwood

Employment Type: Permanent

Hours & Working Patterns:  40 hours per week, term time only (41 working weeks, including training days) OR Full year option with condensed hours available

Salary: £21,287-£22,384 for term time only option; £23,795-£25,021 for full year option

Closing Date: 9th May 2024 at 12 Noon

Interview Process: Interviews will take place week commencing 13th May 2024. Successful candidates will be invited to a formal interview, tour of our wonderful setting and lunch in one of our residential houses. Please therefore expect to be here for approximately 3 hours.

Start Date: To be agreed

Training & Development: Study for a fully funded, industry recognised Level 3 qualification whilst you work

We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team of caring and compassionate Support Workers, who are committed in providing the very best quality of care and support to children (6-19) and young people (19-25) to enable them to reach their full potential.

Assisting with the daily life activities of students and helping to build mutually beneficial relationships within both educational and residential settings, you will play an essential role in supporting our students with the development of their educational, social, life skills and emotional abilities as they progress into adulthood. You will assist with on-site activities, leisure trips and offsite group events both in the school/college education department and in the residential setting.

We are looking for candidates who have a genuine passion for working with children and young people, who are able to consistently engage our students through praise, direction and calmness. You will have the ability to work with initiative, resourcefulness and passion in order to support our students, whatever your role, as part of a motivated team.
