We have an onsite dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Team who, when required, can offer support directly to each student. In addition, this service embeds Positive Behavioural Support strategies to the wider staff team who all receive induction and ongoing training in supporting students’ behaviour. Specific training and coaching sessions may be offered to staff supporting students with more complex needs.. We adopt a range of positive approaches and techniques based on PROACT-SCIPr-UK® which is accredited by BILD.
The multi-disciplinary team work closely together with parents and outside agencies, as appropriate, to develop a consistent approach to teaching students to regulate, and where possible, to be responsible for their own behaviour.
A structured and consistent environment, supported with visual cues such as timetables, and work schedules helps our students to overcome anxiety with improved social behaviour as a result.
The Behaviour Support Team analyses behavioural incidents data to look for patterns and trends and offers proactive strategies to support students on a daily basis.
